Description: A medium sized deciduous shrub producing dense brilliant crimson stems during the winter. Ovate leaves which turn dark red in autumn; small, flat, cream flowers; and bluish-white berries.

Characteristics: Ultimate height of 2.5m and ultimate width of 2.5m.

Position: Full sun/Partial shade.  North/East/South/West facing

Soil Moisture: Moist, but well-drained

Soil Type: Chalk/Loam/Sand

Soil PH: Acid/Neutral/Alkaline

Care Guide: Prune every other year in late winter or early spring to within 10 cm of ground level,keep the stems vibrant in colour.
