Description: A large evergreen shrub with deeply veined, dark green leaves, grey-felted beneath. Creamy white flowers in late spring are followed by red fruit ripening to black. Flowers from May to June.  Fruits from July.  

Characteristics:  Ultimate height 3m and ultimate width 4m. 

Position: Full sun, partial shade or full shade. North/South/East/West.

Soil Moisture:  Well drained or moist but well drained soil

Soil Type: Chalk/Clay/Loam/Sand

Soil PH: Acid/Alkaline/Neutral.

Uses: Beds and Borders/Drought Tolerant/Low Maintenance.
